Doorposts and Gates

Doorposts and Gates
Dan Bishop

Whenever I get an opportunity to go to a museum, I am tempted to stand there staring while I rub my chin. I am sure that it would make me look more intelligent.

Today I was not standing in a museum staring at artwork while stroking my chin but sitting in the student lounge at the school.  And I was looking at a Bible verse posted on the wall when it occurred to me that we are practicing Deuteronomy 11:18-20 at ICSB.

Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, speaking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.

This also got me thinking about the Foundational Statements that we have posted around the building.

At ICSB these statements are not just decorations to make the building look better.  They are real ideas that we are hoping to instill in the community of staff and students as we strive to help them to  be transformed into all that Christ desires.

Enjoy some of the various Bible verses and statements that we have posted here at ICSB.
