Happy New Year

Happy New Year
Dan Bishop

"You are never too old to set another goal, or to dream a new dream." I want to wish everyone in our school community a happy new year.

Of course, for many, these days are regular days.  But the fact remains, it is never a bad time to set goals, or dream new dreams.

As we start the school year, I want to encourage each of you to consider making a new, spiritual goal for the year.  What you choose as your goal is up to you.  There are many options to consider.  A few suggestions would be to read your Bible each morning before leaving for school, starting family devotions in the evenings before going off to bed, or maybe you want to improve your prayer life during the school year.

As I said, the goal is up to you.  However, please let me know if I can be of help to you as you work through your options.

As for me, my spiritual goals always revolve around trying to have more of the mind of Christ, being a little wiser than before, and having eyes and ears to see and hear others better so that I can try to meet their needs better.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:5

Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, the One giving generously to all and not finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

A new commandment I give to you, that you should love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. John 13:34

Looking forward to a great year serving you.

In Christ,
Dr. Dan - ICSB Chaplain
