Friday Night Heists

Friday Night Heists

Pirates, penguins, pumpkins, and princesses, those headed to the upside down, and those hiding after the heist of the century, this party had it all.

Upper School students and staff carved out some time to suit up and celebrate the season at this year’s annual Fall Party, hosted by Student Council.

Highlights included pumpkin carving and costume contests, along with other fun fall-themed mini-games. Minigames included gourd bowling, "fishing" for candy, glow-in-the-dark volleyball, guessing how many M&M's there were in a jar full of them, eating donuts hanging off strings, and more.

The freshmen class won their first-ever Upper School pumpkin carving contest, while Caleb S. took first place in the individual costume contest with his "savvy" Captain Jack Sparrow outfit, followed by Addi G. as a Renaissance princess, and Kornél A., who creatively embodied a job application. In the group costume category, TV and film-inspired costumes dominated the podium, with the Stranger Things group taking first place, followed by a group of smiling and waving Madagascar characters in second place, and Descendants in third. Some students dressed up as each other, like Nathan S. and Marcell S, who dressed up as Kevin S. and Kostya E. Other honorable group costume mentions included Mario Kart, My Little Ponies, and The Office

Most of the staff who were present also took it upon themselves to wear costumes, including Ms. Rachel Soderberg, Ms. Anna Spence, and Ms. Emma Brown, who, instead of fiction, took their inspiration from current events, and all dressed up as the Louvre Robbers, much to the students' amusement.

Thank you to the Student Council and their sponsor, Ms. Rachel Stowell, for all of their hard work in making this happen!

So much more could be said about all the gourd vibes at this year's party, but in the wise words of Kevin Malone, a character from The Office:

"Why waste time use lot word when few word do trick?"
