ICSB Upper School is pleased to announce that two students have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Program for outstanding achievement on the PSAT/NMSQT test.

We want to applaud our seniors Charissa T. and Ryan S. These students ranked in the top 50,000 of the 3.5 million that took the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT)!

"Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated potential for academic success," per a spokesperson for NMSC. "These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence.  We hope that this recognition will help broaden their educational opportunities and encourage them as they continue their pursuit of academic success."

Mr. Mike Southwell, ICSB's Upper School principal, presented these students with a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). Mr. Southwell said, "I am very proud of Ryan and Charissa for scoring so well on this standardized test. The results are a clear reflection of the outstanding achievement that they have both consistently exhibited academically here at ICSB!"
