From Dora the Explorer to code cracking, marshmallow towers, and ping pong tissue box dancing, this year's Super Friday had it all!

Early Grades Super Friday was a joyful, hands-on day full of fun, faith, and creativity for our youngest students.

The day began with a heartwarming service project as students created thoughtful, fall-themed cards for our non-instructional staff, maintenance team, and lunchroom crew. The hand-drawn, personalized designs, paired with handwritten notes expressing gratitude, were sure to melt hearts and draw smiles.

The chapel was a memorable highlight, featuring Ms. Jen Phillips dressed as Dora the Explorer, who brought the message to life in a way that had students fully engaged. Worship was beautifully led by Ms. Lívia Housel, Ms. Sarah Hanson, and alumna parent, Mr. Jeannot Randimbiarison. Following the chapel, students broke into small groups for reflection, discussing what they learned and how it applied to their lives.

Throughout the day, students participated in team-building activities designed to strengthen collaboration and creativity. From building towers out of marshmallows and cards to other inventive challenges, each classroom buzzed with teamwork and excitement.

Grades P1–2 enjoyed a high-energy relay event in the gym, with games like the Ping Pong Tissue Box Dance—where students danced, wiggled, and shook to empty the box—along with Shoe Find, a hopping, skipping, and galloping race to find the right pair, and Costume Mix-Up and Cup Stack challenges that kept everyone moving and laughing.

Students also embarked on a school-wide scavenger hunt packed with playful problem-solving. They cracked codes, solved riddles, built pyramids with plastic cups, and constructed imaginative LEGO structures. One of the favorite stops included a joke contest—students had to make a parent laugh before moving on to the next clue!
