It takes a lot of courage to adjust to a new school.
It takes a lot of courage to do the things you like when you're the only one who likes them. It takes a lot of courage to be the only girl playing soccer during recess, especially when most of the players are 8th-grade boys and you're a 6th-grade girl.
It takes a lot of courage to be yourself. However, it's a whole lot easier when others are there to cheer you on. This past week, new 6th-grade student Anna C. decided to do what she loved (soccer) even though she was the only 6th-grade girl playing. She wasn't on her own for long, however. Not too long after the game began, the rest of the 6th-grade girls circled the court and began cheering loudly for their classmate.
Courage is a very valuable attribute, but friendship might be even more so. Thankfully, we have both in spades at #ICSBudapest. Great job, 6th grade, you all are shining brightly!
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
