The ICSB spring sports season ended with strong showings from our Track and Field and Middle Grades volleyball teams at their final DVAC meets and matches.

This Tuesday, at the Spring Sports & Senior Recognition Night, our community celebrated our spring sports teams and honored our senior athletes for their contributions to ICSB athletics this year. 

 

Track record breakers


 

Volleyball 

The Middle Grades Girls Volleyball Team earned 3rd place after a competitive tournament. The girls opened with a close loss to BISBr, 1:2, then came back with a 2:0 win over AISV. They finished the day with a sweeping win over BISBu, 2:0, in the 3rd-place match. Congratulations, girls!

The Middle Grades Boys Volleyball Team finished 5th place. After a tight 1:2 loss to AISB, the boys responded with a 2:0 win over AISV before falling to VIS, 0:2. This final tournament reflected growth, resilience, and steady development throughout the season. Well done, boys, for your growth and resilience!

Track and Field

The Upper School Track and Field Team brought record-setting speed and strength, breaking five new school records and bringing home the third-place trophy. 

For Upper School, Noah M. placed 1st in the 400m hurdles, 2nd in the 100m hurdles, breaking a new school record, and 3rd in the triple jump. Israel N. broke school records in both the 100m and 200m, placing 1st in each event. Leona P. also set a new school record in the 400m hurdles and finished 2nd.

Other Upper School podium finishes included Allister K. with 2nd place in shot put and discus, Vlad S. with 3rd place in the 800m and 1500m, Zsuzsi M. with 3rd place in the 100m, Kira E. with 3rd place in the 400m, and Lilla K. with 2nd place in the 800m. The Upper School girls placed 3rd in the 4x400m relay, while the Upper School boys placed 2nd in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

Johannes K. placed 1st in both the 800m and 1500m. Towa N. placed 1st in the 200m and 2nd in the 100m. Judah L. finished 2nd in shot put, and Ruth S. placed 3rd in the 3000m.
