Spiritual Impact Week 2023

Spiritual Impact Week 2023
Candace Jefferies

Each year ICSB sets aside a week for an intentional focus on the spiritual growth of our students and staff.  Across our campus each day, we have enjoyed a greater level of worship and study of God's role in our lives.

Mr. Southwell invited speakers from one of our founding mission organizations, ABWE (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism), to speak with our students. Paul and Martha Davis met with the Middle Grades and Upper School students, and Minne and Michelle Bouma spoke to our Early Grades students. We enjoyed worshiping with them and hearing the message God provided through them.

ICSB Chaplain Dan Bishop shared, "What a blessing it has been to have Paul and Martha and Minne and Michelle speaking to our students and staff this week. We have been encouraged to have transformed hearts, fully committed to the Lord. These chapels have been a wonderful complement to our spiritual life goals at ICSB."

The daily chapels have provided unique leadership opportunities for our students as well. Students across all grades have led the worship times.

We appreciate the prayers from our community for this week's goals to be met: Our students will come to know Christ, to walk closely with Him, and be transformed by the Spirit.

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. - 2 Corinthians 3:18
