Volleyball trophies, gold medals, and breaking records—that Tracks.
ICSB Bulldogs had a big DVAC weekend between Volleyball Festivals and the Track Meet. They did not run from the challenge but put their heart and sole into their events and walked away with medals, trophies, broken records, and fun memories.
Middle Grades Volleyball Victories
Middle Grades Volleyball had the upper hand last weekend, serving up wins in all their games and setting themselves up for first place in their Volleyball DVAC Festivals.
Middle Grades Girls A Team went undefeated in their competition, winning all four games against BIS Bratislava, ICS Vienna, Vienna IS, and AIS Vienna, thus securing first place. Middle Grades Girls B Team also swept their competition, winning against all their opponents, AIS Vienna, AIS Budapest, and ICS Vienna. Finally, the Middle Grades Boys also dominated, winning all their games against BIS Bratislava, AIS Vienna, and Vienna IS.
Track Team Triumphs
ICSB's Track and Field team headed to Bratislava over the weekend for their first track meet of the season. They worked hard, stayed on track to the podium, and even broke a few school records!
Middle Grades Go for Medals
Our Middle Grades athletes became quite familiar with the podium as several students received medals at this past Saturday's Track Meet in Bratislava. Towa N. got third place in the 100M & 200M run. Johannes K. placed second in the 1500M and got first place in the 3000M run. Allister K. got first place in the Shotput and second in Discus. Van C. got third place in 100M Hurdles. Finally, Mary L. got second in the 1500M and first in the 3000M run.
Upper School Schools Records
Our Upper School Athletes also hit the ground running with milestone wins, breaking school records at the Track Meet in Bratislava. Sasha K. shattered the school record for 100M and won the event. Noah M. annihilated two school records, the 100M Hurdles, in which he placed second, and the 400M Hurdles, which he won. In addition to outpacing previous records, our Upper School Track team podiumed in several other events. Ati D., Nikita K., Nathan P., and Sasha K. won the Boys 4x100M relay, while Zozi H., Nikita K., Nathan P., and Sasha K. won the Boys 4x400M relay. Ryan B., Zsuzsi M., Leona P., and Laura R. placed third in the Girls 4x100M Relay Race. Finally, Ryan B. got third place in Girls Shotput.
Way to go, Bulldogs! Way to dig deep, raise the bar and go the extra mile.
