ICSB's National Honor Society (NHS) is pleased to report that our community not only met its goal for Forint War 2025, but we also surpassed it!

ICSB’s National Honor Society (NHS), sponsored by Mrs. Kate Smith and Mrs. Rebecca Lingenhoel, invited students to take part in their 2025 Forint War Operation, with the codename, Service in Disguise. The mission was to raise 750,000 HUF to support the Hungarian Salvation Army's Homeless Ministry by providing Christmas gift bags filled with essential items and handwritten notes.

Donation boxes appeared across campus, as Houses competed for points, and students rallied together for a week of fun, spy-themed, yet purposeful giving. As in past Forint Wars, coins earned points for each House while bills introduced a playful element of sabotage. Every contribution, large or small, played a role in turning friendly competition into meaningful service.

Results Declassified. Hand-Off Successful.

NHS is now pleased to release its full report, which states that not only did ICSB meet its goal, but it also surpassed it! With a target of 750,000 HUF, the ICSB community powered past expectations, raising an impressive 863,385 HUF.

The funds raised were used to purchase Christmas gift bags filled with toiletries, socks, and food for people in need. These donations were given to the Hungarian Salvation Army, supporting their Homeless Ministry and helping extend care and dignity during the Christmas season.

This year’s Forint War demonstrated how creativity and generosity can work together for real impact. The funds raised helped the Salvation Army bless even more individuals this Christmas season, extending care, dignity, and hope to those in need.

Target Acquired

Much less importantly, but in good fun, the House of Young won the House Competition of the 2025 Forint War. As a reward, in Upper School, two members of this House had the opportunity to pour water over our Student Council President and Vice President, Mira T. and Noah M., respectively, in some playful banter during the Upper School Christmas party on the last day of school before the holiday break.

This effort, led by NHS students and strengthened by the participation of Houses, families, and staff across the school, demonstrated how collective generosity in action can create a real and lasting impact beyond campus walls.

Mission status: Complete. Well done, agents.
