May the Lord Bless You and Keep You

Upper School chapel was dedicated to the 2023 Seniors. Each graduate was given words of affirmation and direction for the days ahead beyond the walls of ICSB. Among the cheers and laughter, there were also tears shed by students, teachers, and parents. Upper School Principal, Mr. Michael Southwell closed the time with a prayer, praising God for each student and for Him to be glorified through their lives.

The 8th Grade students, staff, and parents gathered to recognize each child as they complete Middle Grades and look forward to Upper School. Staff members encouraged each student, highlighting their talents and gifts. Lower School Principal, Mr.David Kelley, shared a blessing for the 8th Graders stating "May you know God’s peace through your family’s and teacher's continued support as you journey to Upper School. May you find strength in knowing you have been well-prepared for this move."

In a special 3rd-5th Grade chapel time, the 5th Grade students were showered with affirmation and blessing as they wrap up their Early Grades years at ICSB.  Mr.Kelley shared, "We take time to bless our fifth graders, affirming the godly characteristics their teachers have witnessed in them this year. We will take time to honor the accomplishment of completing their final year on the Early Grades floor and symbolically welcome them to the Middle Grades. We take time to praise God alongside them as we sing some of their favorite chapel songs from the year."

Both Lower School chapels ended on a high note of praise and worship!

These Blessings Chapels are a beautiful reminder of the power of words and their impact on our lives. We pray the students will carry with them the words of affirmation and encouragement spoken over them.
