ICSB Bulldogs competed in their first DVACS of the season this past weekend. From Bratislava to Budapest, our atheletes fought hard, played well, "won with humility and lost with dignity." -Athletic Director John Burgess.

We are so proud of how our student-athletes represented ICSB at this season's first Danube Valley Athletic Conference (DVAC) Festivals. From strong wins to close games, their teamwork, sportsmanship, grit, and school spirit were on full display throughout the day.

The JV girls' volleyball team traveled the farthest this weekend, facing a challenging lineup in Bratislava. Despite three losses, they put up a good fight against VIS A (2:0), CIS (2:0), and narrowly lost to VIS B (2:1).

The varsity boys soccer team played well and demonstrated resilience and competitiveness throughout their tournament at BISB. They ended the day with one win, one tie, and one loss. They tied 1-1 with ISB, experienced a narrow 2-1 loss to BISBu, and finished with an outstanding 7-3 win over AISB.

The JV boys volleyball team closed the day with a balanced 2-2 record at AISB. They earned victories against AISB (2:0) and AISV (2:0), and competed fiercely in close matches against SALZ (2:1) and VIS (2:1).

The JV Boys had a terrific opening DVAC tournament with a pair of strong wins and a couple tight losses. The guys put in 110% effort, made their serves when it counted, and were excellent ambassadors of ICSB throughout the day!

The varsity girls' soccer team played with heart and delivered a spectacular performance, finishing the day undefeated with a 3-0 record. With multiple goal contributions from many of our players, including at least two hat-tricks, they dominated their games against ICSV (4-1) and BISBr (8-1). Their final game of the date was a nail-biting close game, yet they still earned an impressive win over AISV (2-1). They grew exponentially in each game, showcasing humility, teamwork, skill, and determination.

I believe that the team’s success and Wins this DVAC were clearly a result of the girls’ Effort and Teamwork. I feel proud and excited to see what more we can accomplish yet this season!
