The tradition continues - Freshman Challenge 2022 in Croatia!
Each year the Freshmen of ICSB start their journey in the Upper School at a retreat designed to build a bond to carry them through the years ahead. This past weekend the Freshmen spent 2 days together at DPB House in Croatia. They were asked to approach the weekend with openness - to "Dare to Prepare Your Heart"!
The students were stretched in many ways - through fun, fun, and more fun! The great outdoors provided a variety of ways to experience God's glory together - hiking, canoeing, bouldering, making s'mores by the campfire!
They were challenged to get outside their comfort zones, and were presented with spiritual and Biblical advice encouraging them to put their lives in God's hands. A key passage of focus was
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

They worked hard as teams, depended on each other, got to know other students better, built new friendships, tried new things, enjoyed nature, laughed together, and grew together.
