Sunshine, Waterballoons, Hotdogs, and tug of war, this Family Field Day had it all!
Family Field Day 2025 was everything our community could have hoped for—and more! Under perfect skies and with plenty of energy to spare, ICSB students, parents, and staff came together for a joyful day filled with fun, friendly competition, and strong community spirit.
Students and staff wore their house shirts and divided into their houses. The day opened with a couple of group games, including a schoolwide "rock, paper, scissors battle." Then everyone dispersed to compete and win points for their house in a variety of games. Different age groups faced different challenges, but all ages could collect points for their house.
These events ran the full gamut from water balloon volleyball to speedball, pass the water, pirate ship, and the crowd-favorite, Tug of War. Middle and Upper School students brought intensity, teamwork, and even some dance moves. Early Grades wowed everyone with their impressive distances made in the river jump, giving a glimpse into the ICSB Track team's bright future.
Following a hot dog lunch and more house games, the whole school gathered once more for each house to create and perform their own cheer.
Then, the final competition was trash pick-up. This creative way to make the clean up fun motivated students to find all of the trash they could to put in their house's designated trash bag.
After a fun, full day of friendly competition, the Hiltibran house earned the highest score across all events, emerging as the winner. Congratulations to the Hiltibran House for bringing home the victory!
The Middle Grades House Council kept everyone cool with refreshing cold treats, while our seniors provided the ultimate cooldown as they gathered on top of the hill and showered the rest of the community with water balloons.
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who came out to cheer, participate, and support our community. And a huge shoutout to Mr. John Burgess, and our dedicated volunteers—your hard work made this unforgettable day possible!
