Rome Wasn't Built in a Day
Candace Jefferies
Students in Ms. Endicott's Medieval History class recently explored the different government structures of the Roman period.
Student groups were tasked with building towers out of coffee stirrers and tape representing different government types, including anarchy, dictatorship, republic, democracy, and monarchy.
The students had to follow specific rules to complete the towers. Once the towers were completed, the class engaged in a thought-provoking discussion, weighing the advantages and disadvantages of each government system.
What a great way to launch their lessons on the Roman Republic!
