Senior Trip to Cyprus: Sun, Slides, and Celebration

Senior Trip to Cyprus: Sun, Slides, and Celebration
Olivia Baker

Our seniors returned from their Senior Trip to Cyprus with sun-kissed smiles and stories they'll tell all their lives.

From beach days under crystal-clear skies to pool slides, affirmation time, and carnival rides, this trip was full of sweet memories and closure for the Class of 2025!

Led by their class sponsors, Mr. and Mrs. Bonnie and Ron Thiesen, Ms. Anna Spence, and Ms. Anna Hughey, the trip was packed with exciting activities and adrenaline-filled adventures, including trips to waterparks and carnivals, laser tag, and more. One activity that made a splash was the boat ride, where students got to jump into the turquoise water from the top deck, laughing and cheering with each other. The waterpark and carnival brought plenty of thrills (and screams!) while laser tag was a fun opportunity to build team spirit with some friendly competition. Most nights ended with a visit to the ice cream parlour.

It's hard to choose a highlight from the senior trip because we did so many activities. The beach days and boat ride may be my favorites because the water was so clear and blue. It was really fun to jump from the top of the boat, and getting to do it with my friends made it even better. I also really enjoyed going on the slides at the waterpark (and screaming the whole way down). It was an amazing trip!

Beyond the activities, what truly made the trip unforgettable was the time spent together. Every day, our graduates took time to affirm and encourage one another, either verbally or in writing, celebrating each other and the beautiful friendships and memories made over the years. Not only was it a time filled with fun, but it was also an opportunity for our students to gain necessary closure as their Upper School experience drew to a close.

Even though all the times at the beach, carnival, and boat were fun, the true highlight of the trip was getting to bond with my classmates one last time and getting to share words of affirmation towards each other.

We’re so proud of the Class of 2025 and grateful that they had the chance to celebrate their journey in such a meaningful way before they embark on their next chapter.
