The final days at ICSB before our Christmas Holiday were filled with Christmas music from all ages. There were performances throughout the week, ever mindful of the true reason for our celebrations - the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
Early Grades led Christmas Caroling on Monday
Starting Monday morning, the ICSB halls were filled with Christmas music as our Early Grades students shared their Christmas cheer with classes all over the building. The 4th and 5th graders also spread some cheer with the students at the óvoda across the street. This was all a warm-up for an all Early Grades gathering with their families after school to sing together. It was sweet to celebrate the songs of the season together.
Middle Grades Christmas Concert on Tuesday
After weeks of preparation, our Middle Grades students shared their talents with families and friends at their Christmas Concert on Tuesday afternoon! The audience was delighted by the sights and sounds of the season and a message emphasizing the meaning of Christmas! There were performances by the 6th-grade band, the 7th/8th-grade band, and the 7th/8th-grade choir. Sixth-grade students also joined the 7th/8th-grade band for a bucket percussion performance.
Upper School Christmas Festival on Thursday
We capped off the week of Christmas music programs with the Upper School Christmas Festival! The Upper School students entertained with singing, instrumental music, and a dramatic telling of Dickens' A Christmas Carol! Guests were treated to hot apple cider and delicious Christmas cookies during intermission. It was just right! We appreciate all the hard work from students, staff, and parents that went into this special night.
