Big Blue Bucket Bash

Big Blue Bucket Bash
Olivia Baker

We received a record number of donations to give to families in need! Thank you to everyone who donated!

The Middle Grades House Council students collected a record amount of non-perishable food items to help families in need, partnering with Dorkasz Ministries for our annual Blue Bucket Bash once again.

These items included pasta, rice, canned goods, oil, sugar, and sweets. For two weeks, every morning before school, Middle Grade students greeted our community, ready to remind us to donate and receive donations.

Collaborating with Dorkasz ministries, our community raised a record-breaking total of 306kg of food. That is over 70kg more than in the previous year and the most we have raised in all the years we have done this food drive.

The Dorkász Service Foundation picked up the items from our school earlier this week and will distribute them to families in need just in time for Easter!

Thank you to the Middle Grades House Council for organizing this successful campaign and to the whole ICSB community for supporting the needs of the people around us. A member of our Chaplain Team, Ms. Lizzie Reed, commented on her first experience with ICSB's Blue Bucket Drive:

It was fantastic to see all Middle Grades students participating. We look forward to supporting Dorkasz Ministries again next year through the Blue Bucket Bash.

Ms. Lizzie Reed, Chaplain

Thank you, Middle Graders, for reminding us of the importance of giving to those in need. One small yet impactful way to prepare our hearts to reflect on the greatest gift that meets our deepest needs and Who we get to celebrate this Good Friday and Easter.
