What Has ICSB Been Reading in 2025?
Tricia Fraser

Of the 9800 books checked out from the ICSB library this year, which are the most popular?

Here they are, modeled by people who've read them in this past year!

1. Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins. This latest book in the Hunger Games series was newly published in 2025 and was in high demand during the spring and summer.

2. Minecraft PVP minigames. It's representing all our Minecraft books here. Our Minecraft books would take over this list if we let them!

3. Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. The Suessical increased circulation for our Dr. Seuss books this year. Yay!

4. Pigeon Will Ride the Rollercoaster by Mo Willems. Mo Willems books are the best! His Elephant and Piggie books and Pigeon books scored strongly in this list, and this one was the top among those.

5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This series is always in our top books!

6. Garfield, Slurps and Burps by Jim Davis. Kids love Garfield!

7. Weird but True Animals by National Geographic Kids. Did you know that Nasa astronauts raise jellyfish in space? This and more fascinating facts are available in the Weird but True books.

8. Amulet, book 9 by Kazu Kibuishi. This graphic novel series has been flying off the shelf this year, especially book 9, the last in the series.

9. Dog Man by Dav Pilkey. This first book of the Dog Man series is always popular!

10. The Hiding Place - a Graphic Novel. Corrie Ten Boom's inspiring story now comes in graphic novel version and it's fantastic!

What are your favorite books from this past year? Let me know! I'm always looking for great recommendations to add to my wish list.
