We have a whole section of book for parents who want to learn about learning disabilities. Also, we have picture books to share with students. Whether those students have learning disabilities themselves or have friends or siblings who do, education promotes empathy and understanding.

This one is special in that every page covers a different disability, whether physical or neurological ....from kids who have diabetes or need a wheelchair, to kids with ADHD or autism, Sotomayor emphasizes that everyone's different and we all have different strengths and weaknesses. This is a great introduction for kids.
