The Sock Baby Experiment

Abby Bigelow

AP Psychology students studying life span development will test out their parenting skills this week in The Sock Baby Experiment.

This week students in AP Psychology are testing out their parenting skills as they each care for their own sock baby. The experiment lasts for one week and each student is responsible for the care of their baby 24 hours a day for the duration of the project. In the case that they are unable to care for the baby they must find responsible child care.

The project is a part of studying life span development. Students will be discovering how both cognitive and psychosocial development is happening at all stages of life for both the child and the parent; and looking further into the impact of parenting, different parenting styles, and parent and child attachment.
