- Middle Grades (grades 6-8)
- Upper School (grades 9-12)
Being a part of a musical is a great opportunity to grow in relationships and in confidence, as well as a great way to find and develop hidden talent!
Middle Grades Musical
Students (new or returning) can sign up to participate in the musical during the Back-to-School event or with Mrs. Lingenhoel (West Music Room) on the first day of school. Students need to audition for the different parts in the musical but everyone who signs up can participate in some way.
Auditions for the Middle Grades musical are usually held on a Monday/Tuesday of the first full week after school begins, after school hours. There is an Audition Prep session a couple of days before auditions, where the students learn one of the songs, practice the audition dance, and get script portions for the auditions. They sign up for audition times after that session.
Musical practices are on Mondays and Thursdays, from 3:45 to 5:45, beginning the week after auditions.
There is an all-day rehearsal on a Saturday, usually one week before the performance.
The musical production week includes daily rehearsals, Monday through Thursday, and performances on Friday and Saturday nights.
All the dates are in the school calendar, and detailed information about rehearsals and performances is sent out in the ICSB Weekly.
Students wishing to participate in the musical must meet the academic requirements of Extra-Curricular Eligibility. See the Parent-Student Handbook for the details.
Upper School Musical
