Annual Fund FAQ

The Annual Fund supports the ICSB operating budget and helps provide an education focused on high-quality academics and grounded in Christian faith. We appreciate gifts to the Annual Fund at all levels: your participation and support matter most.  

The Annual Fund donations help to fund our curriculum, campus security, technology, continuing education for our teachers, and other necessities. These gifts allow ICSB to utilize funds where they are needed most.  For specific examples regarding this year’s projects, please see our Annual Fund page.

God has been favorable to ICSB the past 30 years, and our Board of Trustees have been good stewards of our resources.  Our operating budget is not completely covered by the parent contribution fees. We also receive limited capitation funds from the Hungarian Government which help make up the difference. Successful Annual Fund campaigns allow ICSB to have a margin of excellence to be able to continually improve the educational experience for every student, every day.  

All members of the ICSB community – Board of Trustees, Senior Leadership Team, staff, current parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents and friends – are encouraged to participate. Our goal is 100% Board, staff, and 90% parent participation in this new fundraising initiative. 

High participation in our Annual Fund by the Board of Trustees, staff, and parents is a huge vote of confidence in the direction of our school, and an important signal of our community’s investment in our students and mission. This percentage also has an impact on gifts from outside sources, like the business community around us.

You may make a gift or a pledge as soon as you’d like, but please know that we wish to see all participating donations by the end of our Annual Fund campaign that will be held between October 7th and 18th this fall.  

There is no simple answer to this question, but please know that it is your participation that matters most! Your Annual Fund donation should be based on your ability to give, your understanding of the need, and your belief in the mission of ICSB. Because the Annual Fund happens every year, your gift will be used this school year. 

You may make a donation online via direct link payment (preferred method), check (from the US only via our partner RCE), cash, and bank transfer. We also accept donations by bank card via our onsite POS terminal at ICSB. Please see our Ways to Give page.  

You may make your Annual Fund donation in Hungarian Forint, US Dollars or Euros.

The goal is 100% Board and staff participation. While we hope for 100% parent participation, the goal to reach is 90% participation by our families in our first year of the ICSB Annual Fund. The total amount of funds raised for the ICSB Annual Fund is 10.000.000 Hungarian Forint or about $28,000.
