Immunization Requirements

Immunization requirements in Hungary are strictly tied to MANDATORY VACCINATIONS. Antibody tests are not acceptable as proof of immunity.

According to the Hungarian Health Authority:

ANY STUDENT WHO WISHES TO ATTEND A SCHOOL IN HUNGARY MUST PROVIDE LEGIBLE PROOF OF HAVING RECEIVED ALL MANDATORY VACCINATIONS (see below).

The documents are required to be uploaded during the admission/enrollment process in Hungarian or English (or officially translated into these languages).

Students MUST SUBMIT proof of having met the Immunization Requirements at least 2 weeks BEFORE their FIRST DAY attending ICSB. Should a student be unable to provide proof of ALL mandatory vaccinations (e.g. has missing required vaccines or lost vaccination documents), he/she will be required to set up and follow a vaccination plan at the International Vaccination Center (Nemzetközi Oltóközpont) or the local pediatrician to protect the health and safety of the student and the whole school community. Parents must provide proof during the admission/enrollment process, but no later than 2 weeks before the student's first day attending ICSB, that an immunization plan had been drawn up by a medical professional, and that the plan had been started and is progressing as quickly as it is medically possible. Parents are responsible for submitting proof of any new vaccination administered and completing the vaccination process according to the immunization plan.

ICSB is obligated to report all students' vaccination status to the Hungarian Health Authorities.
