Noel Horváth

In this Senior Spotlight, meet Noel from Hungary, who attended ICSB for thirteen years.

What have you been involved in at ICSB?

Choir, Yearbook, Musical, StuCo, and International EU Youth Summit.

Share about a teacher(s) and how they have impacted you positively.

There are many supporting teachers who have been mentors to me throughout my years.

  • Miss Stowell has stood by me for many years and is the treasurer of many of my fondest memories in school.
  • Mrs. Culbertson has comforted me and supported me in my darkest days.
  • Mrs. Ferguson taught me the foundations on which my confidence bloomed.
  • Mr. Fletcher influenced me to step out of my comfort zone and have a (in British accent) growth mindset.

What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?

It is nearly impossible to select one particular memory, but one memory that always comes to mind is the retreats we had, both in Middle School and High School. My favorite thing about ICSB is the people. The school has such a tight bond between people. It is inspiring.

What has been the highlight of your senior year?

Spending so much time with the people I love. It may sound cheesy, but it is true.

What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?

I started out as a quiet, shy boy who had but a scrap of confidence (I know, it sounds like I am making it up). Now, I am certainly less than quiet, and I love to socialize, and I am confident in myself as well as my abilities. I have also grown in my faith, no doubt. As a child it is hard to imagine that everything in the Bible is history, you just cannot comprehend the information provided to you. Throughout my years, however, I have grown in my knowledge, understanding, and faith in what the Bible has to say. I also have gained a deeper and undeterred confidence in the path God has put ahead of me, despite the challenges I face or the hindrance of faith, I know who to put my trust into, and that my confidence will never be misplaced.

Will you be attending college next year?

Yes - TAMK Proakatemia (Tampere University of Applied Sciences).

What will be your major or area of focus?

Entrepreneurship and Team Leadership.
