Meet Joy from South Korea, who attended ICSB for 4 years in this Senior Spotlight.

What have you been involved in at ICSB?

Volleyball, football, choir, dance team, art

Share about a teacher(s) and how they have impacted you positively.

All the teachers in ICSB have impacted me positively, but especially I would like to say big thanks to Mr.Southwell and Ms.Stowell. Mr.Southwell has always been so kind for me, I could feel that he cares for me all the time. I also learned how to be a better follower of Christ by Mr.Southwell's bible classes. Ms.Stowell was a great and fun teacher to talk to, I loved every single conversations that we had and her reactions toward my words were always funny.

What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?

Winter classic has been fun every years in many ways. I loved to watch the basketball games and perform as a dance team member. Especially this year, I got to lead the dance team with Rin so performing the dance we created was even more memorable.

What has been the highlight of your senior year?

All the special events that seniors got to do were special for me, but if I need to pick one, it's the dance competition in retreat. Our class didn't really know how to come up with our own dance at first, but we put our heads together to create. And as a result, we got first place, but not only that it felt like it was our first time to bond together as a whole class.

What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?

ICSB provided a great environment for me to grow in relationship with God, community, respect, love and kindness.

Will you be attending college next year?

Yes

What are your future plans?

I will most likely to attend a university in Hungary and study about English or communication and media science.
