In this Senior Spotlight, meet Haley from the United States of America, who attended ICSB for three years.
What have you been involved in at ICSB?
Art, StuCo Secretary my senior year, musical stage crew, and part of The Bridge for three years, editor two of the years.
Share about a teacher(s) and how they have impacted you positively.
Mrs. Culbertson has greatly impacted me. She and I quickly got along. She's like a carbon copy of me but in teacher form. She knows exactly when to call me out for my absurdity and just understands me. It's been a blessing to get close to her these last two years.
What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?
There are too many to pick, but doing stage crew for Musical stands out. It was an experience that was really fun - I got closer with people and made some cool friends. Also, being on that stage gave me the biggest adrenaline rush ever. Terrifying, but fun.
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
It's definitely been the fact that I have grown so much closer to my classmates. It's been amazing to form deeper connections. The high school retreat definitely made that apparent. And 4th-period study hall - the card games go hard.
What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?
My whole character has grown. I've learned independence, self-awareness, and general maturity. I can also now speak to a crowd (mostly) without fear. Thanks, Mr. Jefferies.
Will you be attending college next year?
No, I'll be taking a gap year to work full-time.
