In this Senior Spotlight, meet Erika from Ukraine and the United States of America, who attended ICSB for "two wonderful years."
What have you been involved in at ICSB?
I have been involved in NHS, Yearbook, and 4 musicals working backstage.
Share about a teacher(s) and how they have impacted you positively.
It’s too difficult to name just one teacher who has positively impacted me during my time here at ICSB. All of the staff and faculty I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with have poured into me and transformed me in ways I will never forget or take for granted. Teachers are truly God’s gift to this world, and I have felt so blessed to be taught and supported by the best people during my time at ICSB.
What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?
The people I have met and formed relationships with are my absolute favorite part about this school. The endless memories we have made together: banquets, musicals, classes, retreats, lunches, and so on - I will never forget and cherish in my heart forever.
What has been the highlight of your senior year?
The highlight of my senior year has been being a senior! Getting to learn and lead things alongside my amazing classmates and peers has been such a gift. Experiencing this last year of high school with such extraordinary people by my side has been the best part, and I will never forget the joy of being a senior at ICSB.
What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?
I have grown in my faith and my character since I first came to ICSB. Having to move here due to the war in Ukraine, I have grown closer to the Lord and matured spiritually through my entire experience at this school. I also have grown to be more resilient and confident in my ability to do hard things.
Will you be attending college next year?
Yes - but I have not yet decided.

Biola University, Calvin University, George Fox University, Hope College, Northwestern College, Trinity Christian University, Union University, and Wheaton College.
What will be your major or area of focus?
Nursing!
