Michael Muzart

Meet Michael from France and the United States, who attended ICSB for 3 years in this Senior Spotlight.

What have you been involved in at ICSB?

Choir, ensemble, honors choir, musical, chapel team (briefly).

Share about a teacher(s) and how they have impacted you positively.

Miss Stowell really helped me academically by holding me accountable for deadlines and helping me complete things on time. Also, she encouraged me to think more critically about the media I consume, whether it be through reading, social media, or anything else.

What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?

One of my favorite things about my time at ICSB is that I had the opportunity to go to the honors music festival, as well as all the other awesome musical opportunities here.

Share a favorite book you read while you were a student at ICSB? And why did you like it?

I read Les Misérables for my sophomore English class, and it's one of my favorite books I've read. I really liked how it took all the time it needed to flesh out the characters' stories, even if it ended up making the book really long.

What has been the highlight of your senior year?

Being in the musical this year has been so much fun, and I've become friends with people through it that I might not have otherwise.

What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?

One of the most important ways that I've grown since I first came to ICSB is realizing that not everything is that big of a deal, and it's not the end of the world when something goes badly. Even if I'm really stressed out or embarrassed in the moment, I've learned that life goes on, and eventually whatever is making me upset won't matter to me.

Will you be attending college next year?

Yes

What are your future plans?

I plan to go to Missouri State University and major in Political Science.
