Meet Jiin from South Korea, who attended ICSB for 4 years in this Senior Spotlight.

What have you been involved in at ICSB?

Throughout my years in high school, I experienced many different extracurricular activities in the school. I was in Girls' JV Volleyball, Girls' Varsity Basketball, Track and Field, AV Club, NHS, Journalism, and UPP Band.

What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?

Every moment that I experienced at ICSB is very special to me, but if I have to choose just a few out of everything, it would be just walking around the Diósd on any peaceful day with great weather with my friends. I know this sounds not very exciting or doesn't contain any occasional specialness, but I love it. Not only that but also Svieta mi amiga listing up my and Ryan's weird quotes and making it into a list, and I absolutely adore it. I can also not forget about my first year first time tossing volleyball, making a basketball into a net, and constantly running up towards the hills.

Share a favorite book you read while you were a student at ICSB? And why did you like it?

Scythe by Neal Shusterman and various encyclopedias were my favorite books that I read while I was a student at UPP. I am so sorry to disappoint some readers who expected me to have very specific reasons for liking these books. I don't have detailed reasons for liking these books. I just felt more excitement and curiosity than in other books I had read.

What has been the highlight of your senior year?

Coming to school at the start of the second period by using the senior privilege is the highlight of my senior year.

What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?

I learned how to truly become myself and learned how to find something I truly love. Yes, it would be a lie if I say that I clearly know what I really want to become or to like, but I am nevertheless proud of myself for finding major puzzle pieces.

Will you be attending college next year?

Yes

What are your future plans?

I will attend University of Pittsburgh, Swanson School of Engineering as a major being 'undecided'. I can not wait to venture into the new fields of studies and learn how to apply my beliefs to honor God's way to others as he is doing for me every single second.
