In this Senior Spotlight, meet Theodora from Romania, who spent 4 years at ICSB.

 

When you think of high school, what song comes to mind?

Roaring 20s by Panic! At The Disco and Under Pressure by Queen, David Bowie

 

What’s your favorite TV show or movie?

My comfort show is The Office and my all-time favorite movies are anything by the animation company Cartoon Saloon.

 

What have you been involved in at ICSB?

I've been a member of the National Honor Society, Co-Vice President of the Student Council, and member of Beta Club. I did AP Art, was Co-Founder of The Shelf-Indulgence Book Club, and Co-Editor of The Bridge.

 

How long have you been at ICSB?

I attended ICSB in first grade, and then came back 3 years ago.

 

What’s your favorite place on campus and why?

The couches in the hall. Those small cushioned cubes are the place I have lunch with my friends. It has become my place of comfort. 

 

How have your teachers impacted you?

Mr. Hughey (former Upper School Band teacher) has made a lasting impact because he taught me to be confident in my skills and to not be afraid to show my faith to those around me. He encouraged me when times were tough, and he was someone I could always talk to. 

 

What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?

What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?

I've grown in knowledge, not only academically but also emotionally. I've learned that humans are complex beings that we will never fully understand, but the closer I get the better I become.

 

What colleges did you apply to and where are you planning to attend?

I've applied to many colleges. I've been accepted to Robert Gordon University, Taylor University, Wheaton IL, Hofstra, and a couple of others. I will be attending Taylor University, studying Graphic Art.

 

What is your dream job?

Cover illustrator or designer.
