What’s your favorite place on campus and why?
I like the picnic tables outside the cafeteria under the pergolas. It has always been a fun place for me to talk with friends and have lunch together. I also like that it is outside; I enjoy fresh air.
How have your teachers impacted you?
Miss Finstrom has always been a positive influence on me. Her character is very Christlike, and that is so awesome to see. I love her encouraging attitude and intentionality when it comes to being a part of students’ lives. She is someone that I look up to and want to be like, due to her love that clearly comes straight from Jesus.
Mrs. Márton is such a gracious person. I appreciate her German class very much, because she is so willing to help anyone who has questions. I have great memories of being in German class!
Mrs. Peck is one of the most spontaneous people you can find. She is also one of the most generous. I enjoyed being in her math classes because of how fun she made them seem. Her generosity is shown through her care towards the students. She will never miss an opportunity to say hi and ask how you are doing.
Mrs. Lingenhoel is one of the most caring people I know. She has a great amount of empathy! It is clear that she loves all of her students. In class, she pushes her students to do the best that they can. I have experienced this many times, especially when I think I can’t hit a certain note!
What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?
My favorite part of being at ICSB has been participating in the chapel committee. I have learned so much about music, but more importantly have learned just a small part of what it means to worship!
What is an experience you’ve had at ICSB that you couldn’t have had anywhere else?
An overseas multicultural community.
What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?
I have grown up here, so much of my improvement in many aspects of my life have been a result of ICSB. I can see how ICSB has taught me to care for those around me. I also know that I have very much improved my musical skills since attending here.
