When you think of high school, what song comes to mind?

"Closer" by POWERS

What’s your favorite TV show or movie?

"Orange is the New Black", "The Harry Potter series"

What have you been involved in at ICSB?

Kind of everything, I did every sport at least once, except volleyball. Soccer and Track were my favorites though. I did choir, band and ensemble every year I possibly could. I did 8 musicals which were definitely highlights of my years. I was a part of the chapel team in middle school and some of high school. I joined the National Honor Society this year and I've been in Student Council for five years helping lead and plan events for the school. I loved all the opportunities I got and I grew a lot from trying everything.

How long have you been at ICSB?

7 years.

What’s your favorite place on campus and why?

I think the gym is my favorite place on campus. So much happened there, we hung out with friends there after school, played soccer, or basketball or just messed around. We had Tournament in the gym and all the musicals and concerts. There are a lot of good memories in that gym.

How have your teachers impacted you?

I have had a lot of teachers here at ICSB. I think that each teacher taught me different things and tested me in different ways as well.

I will always be thankful to Mrs. Lingenhoel for introducing musical theatre to me and helping me find my passion for acting and performance. I now am majoring in theatre and I hope to continue being in musicals.

Mrs. Márton has been a teacher and a friend who has really impacted me. Not only did she teach me Hungarian and German, she always was someone I could talk to and that I enjoyed talking to. She was able to help me through tough life issues and throughout it, help me with my German, haha.

Mrs. Peck has been one of the best teachers I think I got to have. She had devotions every morning which was filled with laughter and also really encouraging messages. When she taught she really would help me when I struggled. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Peck became like family to me. I knew I could come to her for anything and I think that really changed my experience here at ICSB and helped me through these past years. I could talk about so many more teachers and say how thankful I am for you guys, but this is already getting too long I think.

What’s your favorite thing or memory about ICSB?

I think there are two very specific memories that I love.

The first memory I have is during our performance of Crazy For You, a few of us had a long break where we needed to be backstage so we ended up going to the weight room to wait, we ended up having a lot of fun taking pictures and talking, I don't know why I love that memory so much, but I just do.

I also think that performing with the dance team at my junior year tournament was one of my favorite memories. ICSB had never had a student dance team before and we had never performed before. It was such an honoring experience that I will never forget and I hope ICSB sees more of after I graduate.

What is an experience you’ve had at ICSB that you couldn’t have had anywhere else?

I think the experiences of me trying all these different clubs and sports teams is something that could have only happened at a school like this. I am not good enough to have been able to be on a soccer team at a large public school or been able to take basketball for a year. ICSB doesn't care about how good you are in a sport but accepts everyone and I think that had a big influence on my time here.

What are some of the ways you’ve grown since you first came to ICSB?

I think I have grown a lot in what I stand for and what I believe in. A lot of people here believe and value different things and so I have had to know what I stand for and sometimes stand my ground and that has been a growing aspect of me. I also think that I have learned what I want and what I don't want to do when I grow up. That seems kind of weird but I think after graduating here I will enter a different type of world and I am ready to be myself and express that.

What colleges did you get accepted to and which one will you pick?

I applied to and got accepted to 13 colleges, but I will most likely go to either Western Michigan University, University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, or Central Michigan University.

What is your dream job?

Broadway performer.
