Update on Covid Situation and School Re-opening

Many of us are curious about what the rest of the school year will look like for ICSB. The government has stated that the earliest schools can re-open for in-person learning will be April 19th, but that date is not confirmed. We expect more information and guidance will be given closer to the 19th, and we will, of course, inform you in a timely manner of our own plans for ICSB. Read on for more details.

Our staff members have the opportunity to participate in the voluntary campaign to vaccinate school staff. This has been a challenge to organize because many of our staff members are not in the Hungarian healthcare system, but it looks like we have found a promising path forward. During the break, we will be doing a deep and intensive cleaning and disinfecting of the school building.

The ICSB leadership will be asking for feedback from both school staff members and parents right after Spring Break, so you will have a chance to share your opinions, express concerns, and ask questions regarding ICSB's possible return to in-person learning during this phase of the pandemic.

We will be able to give you more information during the week of April 12-16.

Here is an update on the Covid situation as of today. We are only reporting cases that have notified ICSB, so please write to nurse@icsbudapest.org to let us know of positive Covid cases in your family. Please continue to pray for those who are ill, especially those who are still hospitalized.
