The new building is finally finished!!

We have received our final occupancy permit and are making full use of the building. Everyone is enjoying the 7 new classrooms, the 2 science labs, the library, computer lab, and of course, the gym! This was definitely a year of “firsts” -- we had our first dramatic/musical performances (the Middle School production of Cinderella and the High School production of West Side Story) on the new stage, we were finally able to host the annual ICSB Basketball Tournament in our own gym, the Fine Arts Festival was in the gym for the first time, and we had the graduation ceremony in our new facilities. On May 22, 2007, we held a grand Building Dedication Ceremony, and publicly rejoiced in God’s provision and goodness for our new facilities.

While we are so thrilled to be in our new facilities, there is still a lot of work left to do! In the coming months, as the Lord provides the finances, we hope to:

• Complete the fence around the school property
• Complete the landscaping, including expanding the playground facilities
• Purchase chairs, lunchroom tables, etc.
• Finish adding important features to the building – window shades, painting, storage shelving, furniture, etc.
• Purchase bleachers for the gym and additional athletic equipment
